Hall of Famer Ray Lewis and I have this one thing in common
Ray Lewis, enshrined this weekend in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, inspired me Saturday night.
As my son and I were surfing the channels, we happened upon the last 20 minutes of Ray's acceptance speech. We were blessed by it.
As I heard him speak, I realized that while Ray Lewis and I are dissimilar in a number of ways, we share one thing in common: a passion for creating a better world around us by raising up leaders who love and serve well.
Yes! This is why I am passionate about serving as a leadership and influence coach!
Six years into retirement from professional football, Ray is using his status as an ex-NFL star to serve others. He diligently works to make the city of Baltimore a better place.
Here are the last five minutes of Ray's speech about creating a better world around us (It is well worth 5 minutes of your time to watch. You'll thank me for it.):
As a professional football player Ray Lewis inspired his teammates to step up and meet the challenge of the game head on.
Today, we are faced with immense challenges as a country and the world. We need people like you to lead well...to bring your A game every day! When you do, the world becomes a better place, one moment, one person, one relationship, one decision at a time.
Join me. I look forward to being of service to you.
